Honest caveats

Formal attestation remains an operator process when you choose to pursue it; it is not a reason Backbone assumes you will add another compliance suite.
  • Backbone is not a PaaS. If a simple monolith on Render covers the next two years, Backbone is probably not the fit.
  • Backbone is not an IDP portal. It does not assume you have a platform team configuring golden paths - it is the pre-built foundation that team would otherwise create.
  • Backbone is greenfield-first. It is also a fit for legacy rewrites or consolidation, with a deliberate migration plan.
